Brendan Fraser feels the love. The actor was caught off guard in the best possible way when a fan let him know that we all fully support Fraser’s assassination which takes place both on TV and in theaters.
TikTok cosplayer @LittleLottieCosplay recently hosted a virtual meetup with Fraser (dressed as a character from his movie, “The Mummy”) which spawned a clip that has since gone viral with over a million views and counting.
At the start of TikTok, Fraser is talking about his latest project, Martin Scorsese’s Western epic “Killers of the Flower Moon”.
“I will be working with Scorsese and Leo (DiCaprio) and Bob De Niro.” he says, adding, “I’m a little anxious,” as he mimics nervously biting his nails.
The fan was quick to assure Fraser that he had “that” though.
“The Internet is so behind you! We are so united, ”she says. “There are so many people out there who love you, and we stand behind you, and we can’t wait to see what you do next.”
Fraser looks really touched by the kind words and even seems to tear it up a bit.
“Shucks ma’am,” he said finally, with a tip of his cowboy hat.

AOK – It’s Verdes
It’s true that Generation Z has embraced Fraser in recent years. His movie, “The Mummy,” has developed a huge following on TikTok (through creators like Little Lottie Cosplay) and he’s even trending every now and then on Twitter whenever people re-evaluate him as a cape classic. and épée despite the poor reviews it received when it was released in 1999.
Fraser has also been widely credited with creating the modern “himbo” (male bimbo) trope through his performances in films like “Encino Man” and “George of the Jungle”.
The actor was absent from the big screen for more than a decade after accusing former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Philip Berk of sexual assault in 2003. In 2018, he explained that he felt put blacklisted after the incident.
Fraser started making a comeback a few years ago with projects like FX’s “Trust” and now it seems to be everywhere, from DC’s “Doom Patrol” series to Steven Soderbergh’s “No Sudden Move”. And now he has been cast not only in the highly anticipated Scorsese film, but also in new projects by Darren Aronofsky and “Palm Springs” director Max Barbakow.
