Monday was one of those well-being nights for the Milwaukee Brewers.

Jesús Aguilar scored his first two homers of the season, Zach Davies had another good start and the pen did his part to win a 5-1 win over the Colorado Rockies at Miller Park.

Aguilar finished with three hits and ran in four points to strengthen the offensive. Davies threw 5 ⅓, then Alex Claudio, Jay Jackson and Donnie Hart finished the match as Milwaukee won their fourth consecutive victory against Colorado since last season.

Aguilar's first blast, in the first inning, was followed by Lorenzo Cain's double and Ryan Braun's drive. He scored a run of 80 batters for Aguilar, who took his time around the goals and crossed the plate with a big smile.

He came in the evening with .123 and .151, but Kyle Freeland had already scored a circuit in his career book and the full confidence of manager Craig Counsell.

"It's still the right place for him today," Counsell said before the game. "Against these left-handers, it's a good chance for him to try to leave, and that's all we can do. He tried to make physical changes.

"We are at the point where we need results."

THE SCORE OF THE BOX: Brewers 5, Rockies 1

The Brewers extended their lead to 4-0 with Mike Moustakas, Ben Gamel and Orlando Arcia after Aguilar's match with singles off Freeland.

Aguilar then dominated Brewers' third place with his second long ball off Freeland, which finished fourth in the National League Cy Young Award last season, a shot on the right. That gave him his sixth career game with several players, his first since July 8 against Atlanta.

Freeland found his balance, but it was already too late.

Davies went above and beyond to take a 5-0 lead, qualifying for sixth place before Colorado landed a scoreless 24-goal series against Milwaukee, which started at the NHL last season.

Davies walked with Daniel Murphy, who ranked second on a mistake from Arcia and scored on a David Dahl single.

Alex Claudio came and quickly extinguished the fire. Davies started the fifth run for the fifth time in six starts, allowing three hits and three walks with two strikeouts on 96 shots.

Davies (3-0) did not allow Miller Park to score three consecutive starts at Miller Park, joining Ben Sheets (June 24 to July 10, 2004) as the only Milwaukee pitcher to accomplish this feat.

His deserved point average was set at 1.35, the second lowest by a starting Brewers in the first six appearances of the season.

Claudio then pitched two scoreless innings, then Jay Jackson and Donnie Hart – both recalled from the AAA San Antonio class – followed to close the win.

Aguilar also finished in 8th place, giving him his first successful game of the season while raising his average to .156.

Keys to take away

QUICK RETURN: Ian Desmond went from show to showers in just a few minutes. He finished the fourth inning with a huge dive in the center-left gap to prevent Yasmani Grandal from scoring extra goals. He was then called to attack to score the fifth goal on a ball that was like a hair from the outside corner of the plate. . After expressing his displeasure to the marble umpire, Jeff Nelson, Desmond was sent off. It was only the second ejection of the 11-year-old veteran's career.

NOT TODAY: HUI: For the second time this season, Cain won the title of "Player of the Week" in the major leagues, this time for Todd Frazier on Friday at Citi Field in New York. His first nod occurred after the first week of the season after he had stolen José Martínez from St. Louis during an opening day.

Cain was at the other end of a formidable defensive game Monday when, in the second inning, he lined a ball about as strong as it can be brought back to the center so that the player second goal Ryan McMahon has a decisive break. Cain was then stolen with the help of a knife dipping seventh by first baseman Daniel Murphy.

"I finally hit the bullets hard, and they did great games," said Cain. "Hats off to these guys, it hurts, I have a taste of my own medicine, I guess."

PERALTA RETURNING: Right-hander Freddy Peralta is back with the Brewers and should join the rotation later this week. He entered the wounded list on April 16 with a problem on the right shoulder and granted four hits, three earned runs and one walk with seven strikeouts during a detox match (4⅔ innings) in the AA Biloxi class on Saturday. He is 1-0 with a time of 7.13 in four starts with the Brewers this season.

"He'll start here, we're a bit on the air that day again," Counsell said. "But he'll start sometime later in the week."
