The NFL eventually reinstated wide receiver Josh Gordon, one of many indefinitely suspended players who were lost in a new CBA reshuffle that cleared suspensions for positive drug tests.

The Seahawks are eager to add Gordon to a receiving corps led by DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.

“He was an incredible pro,” Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer told reporters on Thursday of Gordon, a second-round pick in the 2012 extra draft. “I mean just the way he worked. . . . He was great to have around. I can’t wait to find him and he gives [quarterback Russell Wilson] another fun toy to play with.

Gordon’s best season came in 2013, when he generated 1,646 receiving yards for the Browns in just 14 games.

Only 29 years old, Gordon still has a lot of good football in him. Hoping that the league treats him like every other player and stops worrying about things he does outside of work, especially when those things don’t affect the rights of others in any way.
