Apparently never-end list dc characters to come the cw just added a classic. Poison Ivy, the iconic villain who is known for making Batman’s life hell, is coming to Gotham City on the small screen. Actress Bridget Regan will play the role on the upcoming third season of Batwoman, who is about to start later this fall.

Deadline announced the news of the casting, who was teased in the season two finale earlier this summer and is said to be a recurring role. Regan will play Pamela Isley, a former botany student at Gotham University who was experienced and became a supervillain. It’s unclear exactly how she will fit into the show’s third season, which now sees Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) as the one and only Batwoman, as Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) has gone in search of her cousin from the * name checks notes * Bruce Wayne. It’s an important name, isn’t it?

Regan is best known for her roles on TNT The last boat, United States White collar, and last year lost paradise, with Josh Hartnett. She also appeared in small roles in Agent Carter (like Dottie Underwood), John Wick, Jane the Virgin, and others. She has been playing regularly for over 15 years.

Poison Ivy has been around much longer than that. It has been around for 55 years and has became one of Batman’s most famous opponents. However, unlike Catwoman or Harley quinn, she hasn’t been in nearly as many live shows or movies (although she has played a big one, although less nasty role in The stream of HBO Max Animated Harley quinn series). Her most famous appearance, of course, was in the classic camp of 1997 Batman and robin, performed by Uma Thurman. However, in this film she had to co-star with Mr. Freeze, played by the then-biggest star in the world Arnold Schwarzenegger. Poison Ivy has also appeared on Fox’s Gotham for several seasons, although the role has been recast several times. Then, finally, it was thought that Poison Ivy could appear in the 2020s girls team movie Birds of prey, but that did not happen. Producer and star Margot Robbie has has said repeatedly that she would like for his Harley Quinn to show with the character, maybe in a sequel.

It’s still can still happen — bat the CW receives her first when Batwoman returns starting with OOctober.
