Skrulls are a key part of the Marvel universe, ready to officially debut on the big screen Captain Marvel. But unless you're a fan of comics, they're still a bit mysterious.

Fortunately, this new feature, revealed for the first time by Entertainment Weekly, sheds a brighter light on the war between Kree and Skrulls and what these villains are doing here on Earth.

In this last Captain Marvel featurette, stars Brie Larson and Gemma Chan immerse themselves in their roles as members of Starforce, a team of Kree "heroes, warriors," as Carol Danvers says (but we have a better exploder here). For centuries they have been at war with the Skrulls, a breed of foreigners who have come to Earth in search of something. We do not know what exactly. All we know is that Captain Marvel must prevent them from getting it. But, since the Skrull can be literally anyone, it makes the job difficult.

"Carol knows that the Skrulls have infiltrated the Earth and that creates somehow a sense of paranoia," according to Captain Marvel co-director Anna Boden. "The Skrull are looking for something and the mystery of the film lies in the fact that Carol is trying to figure out what they are looking for and they are getting it before."

Be sure to watch the video, as it also shows us some fun-filled Skrull shape change maneuvers. Captain Marvel disembarks on March 8th.
