More than 10,000 new cases of Covid-19 were reported by the California Department of Public Health on Sunday.

There were 10,968 new confirmed cases recorded on Sunday, according to a press release released by the agency on Sunday.

There are now a total of 1,019,345 confirmed cases in California since the start of the pandemic, the statement said.

There have been 18,253 Covid-19-related deaths in the state since the start of the pandemic, the statement said.

The seven-day positivity rate is now 4.8% and the 14-day positivity rate is 4.4%, the statement said.

The Publishing Assistant 195,189 additional tests were reported on Sunday, with a total of 20,866,785 tests performed in the state.
