Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, moved to Los Angeles with their baby Archie last year after stepping down from their official royal roles following disagreements with other family members and facing huge media attention.

“I think he’s heartbroken about the situation with his family,” Bradby said in an interview with ITV’s “Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh”.

“But are they unhappy there? No, I don’t think that’s true, I think they’re pretty happy actually, but I think they struggle with their position in life, I think they all do.

Bradby’s interviews with the couple during a tour of Africa in 2019 provided a glimpse of the growing tensions within the Royal Family since their marriage in 2018 and the birth of their son, with a tearful Meghan describing the difficulty of be a new mother and face relentless scrutiny.

Harry also admitted to having disagreements with the older brother, Prince William, who is second to the throne.

“Well just the situation with the family is clearly not ideal and it has been a very difficult year for everyone,” Bradby said.

“There are still a lot of hurt feelings on all sides and it’s very difficult,” he added.

Bradby’s documentary on the couple announced their decision to step down from all official royal duties in 2020.

Since then, Harry and Meghan have continued their charitable work and signed television and other media deals, launching their first podcast in December. They also brought several lawsuits against the British press.
