BRITNEY Spears was caught holding her phone while driving alone for the first time in 15 years.
The 39-year-old singer was spotted driving her $ 155,000 Mercedes Benz just a week after being cleared to drive again in her tutelage war with father Jamie Spears.
Britney appeared to be using her cell phone while driving her Mercedes-AMG SL 63 on Tuesday.
The singer was driving near her home in Thousand Oaks, Calif. When the photos were taken.
However, the singer did not appear distracted by her phone as she only held it while driving.
If found guilty of using her phone while driving in the state of California, Britney will be fined $ 150 and could potentially have a point added to her license.
BRITNEY TAKES THE ROAD
This outing marks the first time Britney has been seen driving alone in 15 years.
Under her tutelage, singer Toxic was unable to drive on her own, although the restriction was lifted after her virtual court appearance last week.
Following the decision, an insider told PEOPLE: “Britney is very happy that the guardianship now allows her to drive.
“She is thrilled and more than grateful for all the help she is receiving at this time.”
At the end of June, The Sun exclusively shared photos of Britney and her boyfriend Sam Asghari being driven by her bodyguard.
Just a few days ago, Sam, 27, admitted he had run over another driver in a “minor” accident that left “no injuries”.
THE PAST AGAINST BRITNEY DRIVING
Britney had already found herself at the center of the controversy when she was caught driving with her then four-month-old son Sean Preston on her lap in 2006.
Shortly after the photos went viral, the singer explained that she was driving with her son on her knees because of a “horrific and frightening encounter with the paparazzi.”
According to TODAY, Britney said in a statement, “I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put me and my baby in danger.
“I instinctively took steps to get my baby and I out of harm’s way, but the paparazzi continued to harass us.
“I love my child and would do anything to protect him.”
VICTORY IN THE COURT
Last week, the singer scored a major victory in her guardianship battle with her father Jamie.
The Sun confirmed that Judge Penny had authorized the hiring of Britney’s legal choice, Mathew S. Rosengart, who was a former federal prosecutor, to represent her.
Following the ruling, Britney told the Los Angeles court that she wanted Jamie to be charged with abuse of guardianship.
SURE OF FEUDING
Jamie isn’t the only family member Britney struggles with, as the singer has slammed her younger sister, Jamie Lynn, on social media.
Britney recently pledged she was “not even close” to saying “everything I had to say” in a stern warning to those who controlled her finances and health decisions for nearly 14 years.
Along with a dice streak that was written “one day at a time,” Britney told her fans she “had just arrived” after years of being “told to keep quiet”.
She captioned the post: “So I said ‘life goes on’ in one of my recent posts but it’s still easier said than done !!!!! At that point , that’s what seemed like the easiest to say but I think we all know that I could never let go and move forward fully until I have said everything I have to say… and I am not even close !!!! “
She added: “I’ve been told to keep quiet about things for so long and I finally feel like I’m getting there !!!!”
The message came just days after Britney took aim at Jamie Lynn and called her a “nasty **” “false partisan” during her years of “abuse” guardianship.
The pop icon shared a clip of her dance and took up the legend to continue to denigrate her family – whom she has spoken out more about since her big win on the pitch on Wednesday.
Jamie Lynn, 30, showed off her cleavage in a revealing red outfit alongside a message that appeared to be for her older sister.
“The peace of the Lord be with you and your spirit,” the Zoey 101 actress said on Instagram.
Hours later, Britney responded to her brother’s words with a reworked version of the same quote.
“May the Lord envelop your wickedness in joy today…” the artist pulled on social media.
Britney put on a big smile as she sang the lyrics to Billie Eilish’s hit song Bad Guy.
