Earlier this year, Spears’ social media team set the record straight as to who controls what she posts – the singer herself.
Crowd Surf co-founder Cassie Petrey addressed the rumors – many of which are described in a long Twitter thread of January 22 by fan account @BritneyHiatus.
Alleging that she had seen “a lot of inaccurate theories” about how the pop superstar’s social media work, Petrey claimed at the time: “Britney creates her own posts and writes her own captions for Instagram.”
Petrey also pointed out that Spears is the one to request edits to her videos, which are then done by her social media team, adding that the “Sometimes” singer has the final say on whether “she wants to post them or not.”
