Rosengart was approved as Spears’ personal counsel in a hearing Wednesday. He and his firm, Greenberg Traurig LLP, replaced court-appointed lawyer Samuel Ingham III and the firm of Loeb & Loeb, both of whom had recently resigned pending re-assignment.
Ingham represented the singer since the beginning of her tutelage in 2008; Spears complained on June 23 that she never knew she could ask to end the guardianship at any time.
Last week, the 39-year-old mother-of-two became more specific about her wishes, saying in court: “I would like to accuse my father of abuse of guardianship.”

In turn, Vivian Thoreen, lawyer for Jamie Spears, told the court that Britney Spears had many incorrect beliefs, among which “her father is responsible for all the bad things that happened to her”.

Monday’s hearing was apparently aimed at determining who would or would not pay for 24/7 security for Jodi Montgomery, currently Spears’ personal curator.
