Britney Spears slams being controlled by others in new social media post.
On Monday evening, the “Toxic” singer took to her Instagram account to share an article titled “Infusing Education with Heart” with which she says she has connections. It’s an article she once shared on her social platform that discusses the importance of teaching kids with heart in mind.
The pop star, who is fighting to be released from a tutelage under which she has been for 13 years, has explained what it is to be “controlled by someone else”. Her comments on social media echo feelings she’s shared in court in recent months as she accused her father, Jamie Spears, of “conservation abuse.”

Just last week Jamie spears filed a petition to end the pop star’s trusteeship, a move that stunned fans as his father voiced his opposition to his attorney’s demands to step down as curator. Jamie has controlled Spears’ finances since 2009 after the singer suffered a series of unintentional seizures. Spears has been locked into a legal battle with Jamie over the past few years as she struggles to regain control of her life.
The singer is a bride-to-be after her boyfriend, Sam Asghari, proposed over the weekend.

The decision to end Spears’ guardianship completely comes after Jamie revealed he was ready to resign as its only restaurateur when the timing was “right” and a “smooth transition” could occur.
“As Mr. Spears has said over and over again, all he wants is what’s best for his daughter,” said the document, which was obtained by The Associated Press. “If Ms. Spears wants to end the guardianship and thinks she can manage her own life, Mr. Spears thinks she should be given that chance.”

Judge Brenda Penny, who is overseeing the case, will have to approve the move. Meanwhile, Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, recently said that regardless of Jamie’s recent petition, he still plans to investigate his alleged mismanagement of his finances.
Spears also revealed some positive personal news this week. On Sunday, she announced her engagement to her nearly five-year-old boyfriend, Sam Asghari.
