Comedian Brody Stevens has died, according to reports. He was 48 years old.
He was found dead Friday afternoon at his home in Los Angeles, California. The cause of death is the subject of a suicidal investigation, reported TMZ.
Just one day before his death, he tweeted: "I'm ready to return to the festival circuit."
Stevens was a popular comedian on the stand-up scene and was a regular at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles.
He has also appeared on shows including "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and appeared as a regular panelist on "Chelsea Lately". For HBO, he played in "Brody Stevens: Enjoy It!" and had roles in movies, including "The Hangover" and "Due Date."
Before comedy, he played baseball for Arizona State.
Stevens had also been open about his mental health issues.
After the news of his death, comedians expressed their sorrow, including Patton Oswalt, who tweeted, "If you are depressed or if you feel suicidal, please, please, Please, please, please, please, contact anybody. I can never see Brody Stevens again. This. "
