A 28-year-old Illinois man is in critical condition and fighting for life after being hit in the head with a bowling ball during an altercation on a bowling alley last week, when an attack that immediately turned the corner.

According to the Chicago ABC WLS channel, Diamante Williams was at Cicero's Town Hall Bowl in Illinois on Wednesday night, when a fight broke out at a promotional event at Bowling.

In the September 6 video posted on Facebook by Darnell Collins, security agents tried to stop the fight between groups of people when a man lifted a bowling ball in the air and hit it in the head.

People can then be heard screaming and screaming before fleeing the crime scene.

"It's horrible," said Tamekio Williams, Diamante's mother. "I just could not believe that someone could be as inhuman as doing that to another human being."

The Cicero Police Department has released a video surveillance image of the suspect involved in the attack, which they are still trying to identify and detain.

"The above-mentioned individual was involved in an altercation that caused him to throw a bowling ball at the victim's head, causing him serious injury," Cicero Police Department said in a statement.

The suspect then left for Range Rover 2018 with a Wisconsin license plate bearing the AFS-3400 tag.

"It has become viral on Facebook and it is heartbreaking to see a loved one as such and no one has helped," said Valencia Williams, a cousin of Diamante Williams. "Everyone present immediately took their phone and recorded it."

Tamekio Williams told WLS that his son had come out of a medical coma Friday afternoon, but that he was still in critical condition because of injuries that he had suffered during the attack.

"It is progressing slowly, a good sign of life, but we have a long way to go," she said.

The Cicero Police Department asks the public to provide him with all the information he has on the case.

"Snitch [on the suspect]"Said Tamekio Williams. Justice for Tate. Justice for Tate. If it was a member of your family, would not you like something good going for them? "
