Broncos’ Drew Lock replaces Teddy Bridgewater after QB was ruled out with concussion suffered against the Ravens

At halftime in the Denver Broncos’ game against the Baltimore Ravens, the team announced that starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was being assessed for concussion. He did not go out with the team to start the third quarter, and was subsequently excluded for the rest of the afternoon. With “Teddy Two Gloves” out of the way, Drew Lock arrives in an attempt to lead a comeback victory.

Bridgewater completed 7 of 16 passes for 65 yards and a touchdown in the first half, as the Ravens posted a 17-7 lead in the first two quarters. Bridgewater has also been sacked twice, and the final blow he took likely caused the head injury.

Lock was of course the loser of Denver’s quarterback competition this offseason. Missouri’s 2019 second-round pick suffered a sophomore slump last season, as he completed 57.3% of his passes for 2,933 yards with 16 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 13 games played. He only went 4-9 as a starter.
