Broncos line up interviews with handful of GM candidates

The Denver Broncos have held talks with several candidates for their new GM post after John Elway decided to hand over the role to someone new.

Via Mike Klis of 9News, the Broncos have scheduled interviews with New Orleans Saints professional scouting director Terry Fontenot and Chicago Bears assistant director of player personnel Champ Kelly. Plus, they’ll interview Broncos College’s Director of Scouting Brian Stark. for work too.

Deputy General Manager of the Minnesota Vikings and Vice President of Player Personnel George Paton will interview for work, via Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, and New England Patriots Assistant Director of Player Personnel Dave Ziegler will also meet the team for the position.

Fontenot spoke to the Detroit Lions for their GM role on Tuesday and will also meet with the Atlanta Falcons this week. Paton is also due to meet with the Lions on Wednesday for their opening. Kelly is scheduled to interview the Carolina Panthers for their position.
