DENVER – The Denver Broncos have a new name for their stadium after signing a 21-year contract with Colorado retirement planning firm, Empower Retirement.

The Mile High's Broncos Stadium is now calling

Empower Field at Mile High,

the team announced Wednesday.

The Metropolitan Football Stadium District is expected to sign the agreement later this week.

Temporary signage will be set up at the stadium for the Broncos home opener against the Chicago Bears on September 15th.

The contract will last until 2039 and will cost between $ 125 million and $ 130 million, according to sources close to the contract.

The stadium is without main sponsor since August 2016 after the bankruptcy of the Sports Authority.

The Broncos bought the rest of the contract, which allowed them to gain control over the search for a new trading partner.

The head office of Empower Retirement is located in Greenwood Village. It is the second largest retirement services provider in the United States.
