Slimming yet another injury-decimated squad, Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton is now considered questionable to play in Sunday’s road game in Pittsburgh.
Sutton appeared as a limited participant in the final Week 5 Injury Report. According to the Denver Post, the former Pro Bowl wide receiver had an ankle rolled during practice on Friday.

Returning from a ripped ACL backed against the Steelers last season, Sutton amassed 257 yards leading the team on 18 catches, regaining the WR1 mantle with Jerry Jeudy (ankle) on the injured reserve and KJ Hamler. (knee) made for the year.
If Sutton can’t go, the Broncos would be forced to replace Tim Patrick, Kendall Hinton and David Moore as the starting corps at Heinz Field. It’s possible, with Diontae Spencer (chest) also questionable, the club are promoting one of the many WRs on the practice squad: Seth Williams, Tyrie Cleveland, Josh Malone, De’Mornay Pierson-El or Rico Gafford.
Denver’s offensive has taken a hit in recent weeks. In addition to starting quarterback Teddy Bridgewater struggling with the remains of a concussion, running back Melvin Gordon (leg) is questionable and tight end Albert Okwuegbunam (hamstring) has been ruled out, while the Guards Dalton Risner (ankle) and Graham Glasgow (knee) are prone to play, head coach Vic Fangio said on Friday.
The Broncos will announce their list of inactive players approximately 90 minutes before the MT kicks off at 11 a.m. in Steel City.
