Looking for his fourth major title, Brooks Koepka kicked off the final round of the PGA Championship Sunday with a comfortable seven-shot lead.
But the same ultra-focused mentality that allowed Koepka to win a pair of American openings and potentially a second PGA leaves no room for distraction.
It means no distraction of any kind.
Not even his girlfriend, Jena Sims, who was caught in an apparent attempt to give Koepka a kiss of good luck before he started his tour.
But the world's third-ranked golfer did not have time to manifest his affection in public while there was a title to be won.
The Sims said Saturday at Golf.com: "I'm not discreet," Sims said. "I'm just going to wave, and he's going to hang his hat. I'm going to kiss him. I do not try to be too discreet. If I see him and he sees me, it's: "Hi!"
Koepka's priorities seem obvious. Kiss the Wanamaker Trophy first … girlfriend second.
