‘A very emotional day’: Brothers Osborne’s TJ Osborne says becoming gay is ‘a burden on my shoulders’

In his interview with Time, he openly discussed his sexuality and said he was “ very comfortable being gay ”.
His loved ones have known this for a long time, he said, but the COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying lockdown made him feel it was time to come out publicly.
“ I’m willing to put this behind me … I find myself not wanting to talk about something that I personally have no problem with. It’s so strange, ”he explained.

Growing up in a small blue-collar town in Maryland, he kept his sexuality hidden although he knew it at a young age.
“It was so lonely and isolating. It made me resent people, ” he said.
The revelation that he is gay makes TJ the only openly gay artist signed to a major country music record company.
