Another Browns player has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Browns shut down the facility for a time on Wednesday after learning of a positive test and announced another shutdown Thursday morning. The meeting will be held remotely while the team does the contact tracing.

The team returned to organize separate training for attack and defense on Wednesday afternoon. Head coach Kevin Stefanski said ahead of this training that several players will not participate due to concerns about their level of contact with the infected player.

Eight players were listed as not participating in training for reasons unrelated to injury and two more remained ill. It is not known if the new positive comes from this group of actors.

Linebacker Sione Takitaki was placed on the reserve / COVID-19 list later in the day. The team also placed defensive ends Myles Garrett and Joe Jackson on the roster last week.

The Browns are set to face the Jaguars in Jacksonville on Sunday afternoon.
