Braxton Miller played in the state of Ohio while he was in school and is back in the state as he tries to continue his career in the NFL.

The Browns announced Wednesday they have recruited Miller in their list of 90 players. Mik Quan Deane was dismissed with a disease designation other than football in a corresponding move.

Miller went from catcher to wide catcher while he was at Ohio State and was a third round pick in 2016 by the Texans. He caught 34 passes for a total of 261 yards and two touchdowns before being canceled before the 2018 season. Miller landed in the Eagles' training squad, but was reduced to Philly when the quarterback Josh McCown signed for the weekend.

The Browns are defined with Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham at the top of the wide receiver's depth chart. Rashard Higgins, Jaelen Strong, Derrick Willies, D.J. Montgomery, Damon Sheehy-Giuseppi and Damion Ratley are looking for roles behind them as Antonio Callaway prepares to serve a four-game suspension to open the season.
