Bruce Arians has no desire to recall the games

Bruce Arians has made it clear that he will return in 2021. If he had lost offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich for a head coach position elsewhere, that may not have been the case.

If Leftwich starts to attract interest from head coaches, the Bucs could end up losing both Leftwich and Arians if someone else hires Leftwich and Arians and then retires.

The best plan for the Bucs, then, might be to promise the Leftwich job every time the Arians retire. Before Tom Brady agrees to extend his contract beyond 2021, he may insist on this type of arrangement.
