Although the Boston Bruins dominated the first two periods of Game 1's East Conference final on Thursday, the Boston Bruins responded with a third goal of 4 goals to beat the Hurricanes of the Caroline 5-2.
The win gives the B a 1-0 lead in the series, but some things will have to be worked on as of Thursday. Head Coach Bruce Cassidy knows it's not perfect and must be adjustments made – especially in the second period – before the puck Sunday afternoon.
"The repairable parts are bad line changes," he told reporters Friday afternoon. "We tend to change as a group of three as before. Really, we should better space it out. … the management of the puck also. If you do not put it in a good location, your D will never go down (the ice). So, they play tired. … There are always intangible assets from one game to another. Do we take penalties, etc.?
It will be necessary to wait to see if the B made the adjustments that Cassidy hopes to make. And if this is the case, the Hurricanes could end up in dangerous territory.
