Bruce Springsteen was arrested on drunk driving and related charges on the Jersey Shore last fall, authorities said.

On November 14, 2020, Springsteen was cited for DWI, reckless driving and drinking in a closed area in Sandy Hook, in the Gateway National Recreation Area at the northeastern tip of Monmouth County.

“Springsteen has cooperated throughout the process,” Gateway spokeswoman Brenda Ling said in a statement Wednesday.

TMZ was the first to report the arrest. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, a resident of Colts Neck, is due in court in the coming weeks, the website said.

The news comes after Springsteen, 71, made headlines last weekend as he appeared in a two-minute Super Bowl commercial for Jeep, the first product approval of his career.
