Bruce Springsteen arrested for DWI in New Jersey

Bruce Springsteen was arrested for DWI and reckless driving in his home state, it was revealed on Wednesday – days after he appeared in a high-profile Super Bowl commercial for Jeep.

The 71-year-old “Born to Run” icon was destroyed on Nov. 14 at the Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, a National Park Service spokesperson said.

Springsteen has been charged with DWI, reckless driving and drinking alcohol in a closed area, the spokesperson said.

“Springsteen has cooperated throughout the process,” the spokesperson added.

According to TMZ, which first reported the arrest, Bruce would have been sentenced to trial in the coming weeks and has not seen a bust for DWI.

Springsteen’s rep did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
