Jeep has pulled its Super Bowl commercial featuring Bruce Springsteen from its YouTube channel following news about the DWI singer’s arrest in his home state of New Jersey in November.
TMZ reports that the singer was arrested on November 14 in Sandy Hook, NJ and cited for DWI, reckless driving and drinking alcohol in a closed area. Nearly three months after his arrest, Springsteen teamed up with Jeep for a Super Bowl commercial, titled “The Middle,” which would be the second most-watched commercial in the game after the Michael B. Jordan and Amazon spot.
In the two-minute ad, Springsteen, usually shy of salespeople, gets into a Jeep and talks about unity in the United States amid the political divide. The advertisement is still available on Jeep’s official Instagram account.
Neither Springsteen nor Jeep representatives immediately responded to requests for comment.
