Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak reveal release date for new Silk Sonic album

Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have confirmed the release date of their debut album Silk Sonic: An evening with Silk Sonic will be released on November 12. The album, which features Bootsy Collins as a “special guest,” includes the singles “Leave the Door Open” and “Skate,” as well as “Silk Sonic Intro.”

Mars and .Paak announced Silk Sonic in February, performing “Leave the Door Open” at the Grammys a few weeks later. In an interview in August with Rolling stone, Mars had suggested a January 2022 release date for the duo’s album. “We’re really in touch-up mode now,” he said at the time. “We have the bones from most of the album, so it’s really about touching up the parts that need a little more… grease.”
