The 2019 Billboard Music Awards have officially announced this year's nominees!
On April 4th, local time, the Billboard Music Awards unveiled their first nominations for this year's awards ceremony. Three K-pop bands have been added to the list for 2019.
BTS, which entered history in 2017 by becoming the first Korean group to win a Billboard Music Award – and which also won the Best Social Artist Award in 2018 – received two nominations this year. Not only will the band defend its title as best social artist for the third year in a row, but it has also been nominated for the top duo / group for the very first time. Dan + Shay, Imagine Dragons, Maroon 5 and Panic! Are the other finalists of the Top Duo / Group Award. At the disco.
EXO and GOT7 also received their first nominations for Best Social Artist this year, joining other BTS nominees Ariana Grande and Louis Tomlinson.
The 2019 BIllboard Music Awards will be broadcast live on May 1st at 8pm. AND.
