BTS has been officially nominated for the 2021 Grammy Awards!
On November 24 local time, the Recording Academy announced this year’s nominees for its annual Grammy Awards, and BTS got its very first nod.
The group’s resounding success, “Dynamite,” earned them a nomination in the Best Performance of Duo / Group Pop category, which recognizes the achievement of “new vocal or instrumental recordings as a duo / group or in collaboration.
BTS ‘”Dynamite” is currently nominated alongside J Balvin, Dua Lipa, Bad Bunny and Tainy “Un Dia (One Day)”, “Intentions” by Justin Bieber (with Quavo), “Rain on Me” by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande, and Swift’s Taylor “Exile” (with Bon Iver).

BTS’s 2018 album, “Love Yourself: Tear,” was previously nominated for a 2019 Grammy Award in the Best Recording Package category, which is awarded to the artistic director of an album – but this new nomination marks the first time that the members of BTS themselves were nominated for a Grammy Award.
The 2021 Grammy Awards will take place on January 31 at 8 p.m. ET.
Congratulations to BTS!
