Bucs believes Antonio Brown, the two starting safeties as non-participants

Antonio Brown could return next week, but he remained a non-participant in the team’s estimated injury report as planned.

Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians said earlier this week he didn’t expect Brown to practice during the week after the wide receiver missed the NFC Championship game. Brown injured his knee in the division’s victory over the Saints.

Brown had 45 catches for 483 yards and four touchdowns in the regular season and added three catches for 59 yards and one touchdown in the team’s first two playoff games.

Tyler Johnson and Scotty Miller each had a big game in the NFC Championship game while replacing Brown.

The Bucs did not train on Wednesday but were required to issue a report nonetheless.

They indicated that Brown, outside linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul (knee), safety Jordan Whitehead (shoulder / knee) and safety Antoine Winfield Jr. (ankle) were not practicing.

Receiver Mike Evans (knee) was limited, as was nasal tackler Vita Vea (ankle).

Catcher Chris Godwin (elbow) was considered a full participant.
