The battle for the best chicken sandwich is far from over, especially now another major competitor has jumped into the ring. Buffalo Wild Wings has decided to launch a new range of chicken sandwiches, which is pretty coincidental during the period in which the item has become a cultural phenomenon. Although it is not a fast food like Chick-fil-A or Popeyes, the hamburger and the chain of the wing will come to fight with two different options, both using the same base of chicken beaten with beer.

The very first is the southern chicken sandwich, which includes chicken breast breaded with Swiss cheese, bacon aion, Napa cabbage and homemade gherkins on a challah bun. Next, B-Dubs wants to increase the notch with his hot chicken sandwich in Nashville – essentially the same offer as before, with the exception of the chicken thrown in Nashville's spicy sauce. It also replaces the aioli for Ranch and adds Fresno peppers to the top.

Along with this new offering, Buffalo Wild Wings is also rolling out hand-battered offerings using the same beer dough as the chicken breasts, based on a Lagunitas IPA. A restaurant spokesman said "the higher volume of alcohol in the IPA creates a unique coating and a hand-crimped chicken product that is crisp on the outside, while remaining tasty and juicy on the inside ".

Earlier this week, Popeyes announced that she had sold her first batch of chicken sandwiches, the first product of this type ever sold in the store. Before that, the article was being discussed on Twitter in the days leading up to the cancellation.
