Former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star Nicolas brendon looks unrecognizable in his photo ID… after being arrested for allegedly obtaining prescription drugs by fraud.
According to an affidavit obtained by TMZ, Nicholas was driving erratically when cops spotted his silver Dodge Journey last week in Vigo County, Indiana. The cops say he didn’t report and swerved all over the place.
After he was arrested … the cops say they noticed him sweating profusely and “seemed nervous from a noticeably rapid pulse in his neck and a handshake.”
When asked for ID … cops say Nicholas gave them California ID with the name on it Kelton Schultz. The cops say Nicholas told them Kelton was his twin brother.
Cops say they found a “small plastic bag with crystal / powder residue” and a pill bottle in a bag containing medication prescribed for “Nicholas Bender.”
The cops took out the K-9s because of “signs in the vehicle indicating that narcotics were potentially being trafficked”. One of those signs – the carpet on the new car had been cut in several places and the padding under the carpet revealed that the screws had been removed.
Cops say a thorough search uncovered several other plastic bags with residue but no other contraband… and a prescription filled the same day at a Kroger grocery store.
The order, according to the cops, was for amphetamine salts prescribed to Kelton Schultz. When asked why he lied to them about his identity, the cops responded that Nicholas told them “they have the same prescription and they fill each other’s prescription.” Cops say Nicholas admitted to taking pills that were prescribed for Kelton.
They believed Nicholas was abusing the pills and / or selling them and thought “he was using his brother’s ID to get more or that the ID he originally gave me that belonged to Kelton was fraudulent “. They arrested him for failing to identify and obtain a prescription by fraud.
We contacted Nicholas’ lawyer, Christophe Dodge, who declined to comment.
