Build your own Prime Day gaming computer for less than $ 700

At PC Gamer, it is traditional that we try to build an excellent gaming PC for as little as possible each Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday. This year, the component agreements are quite strong and the arrival of new AMD processors and graphics processors has undoubtedly helped to lower the prices of existing parts. This is not because some parts are now "last generation" as their speed is slow.

While I was looking for the best deals on all the parts needed for a new PC, one thing immediately became clear: although it's Amazon Prime Day (which lasts two days because who needs this tracking?), For components IT is often better to shop elsewhere. The best Prime Day offers not on Amazon's m & # 39; s allowed to get started and eventually I ended up at Newegg for all of the components (but not the accessories downstairs). You can also trade songs if you can find better prices. This is what I came with.

Total: $ 664.40

Add everything and you can build a gaming PC that will run all the latest high speed games for under $ 700. And if you need a mouse, a keyboard and a monitor? I also have some suggestions:

Grand total: $ 959.39

And that's it: a complete gaming PC, with everything you need (apart from software) to be able to use the latest and greatest games, all for the little players. You can certainly reduce things further – the keyboard is perhaps a bit extravagant if you are trying to save money, although for my money, I would certainly spend the extra for a good board.

How does this DIY DIY build compare to some of the other pre-designed Prime Day offerings? It's either cheaper or faster, depending on your point of comparison (the closest match was CyberPowerPC, which cost $ 1199 without a monitor, keyboard or mouse before selling, although it includes a RTX 2070 Faster and a 7,700 Ryzen (about $ 200 extra if you want those in this DIY construction). Elsewhere, you save about $ 400 compared to current prices, and at least $ 200 compared to base prices. Plus, you get the added joy of putting everything together and making it your own.

Most of these offers are available for at least one more day, but do not be surprised if prices rise globally by 10 to 25% by the end of the week.
