Wear operating system update brings Google Pay faster, bug fixes and design improvements

Google announced an update of Wear OS, with smartwatches running on the software to see improvements to Google Pay, design and bug fixes.

The move comes as the company launches a new beta version for Android P, with the most notable change that seems to come from the contactless payment system. As Google indicates itself in the description of the application, the "quick start of Google Pay" is now an option for users, although it is not detailed in what has changed exactly.

If we guess – and that's pretty self-explanatory, let's be honest – we imagine that technology s & # 39 is improved to allow an instant launch of the payment system. And that would be a welcome addition, since paying through the likes of the Apple Watch has so far proven to be a much more seamless experience.

But, as they say, the improvements to Pay are not the only thing included in the update, which hit the Google Play Store on July 25th. A fix also came to a timezone bug, while the design tweaks we saw coming to the menus earlier this year were also improved. Google claims that its user interface is now "more readable", although we suspect that the upgrade is only very minor in this department.

Unfortunately, we do not yet see Wear OS users on iOS, although we suspect that the same changes will begin to be felt in the coming weeks. Until then, however, Android users can update their Wear OS app and start enjoying all the new settings.
