IKEA downloads 45,000 defective tables sold worldwide

The Swedish company IKEA (Ikea) announced yesterday that it has withdrawn about 45,000 folding tables sold around the world, their tended board likely to fall, reported the French press.

"The withdrawal concerns only the white mbades of Glavarp sold after 1 January 2017," IKEA said in a statement.

The message comes after about 50 alerts to users who have been alerted to the detachment and drop of the mbad lengthening chart. Three people were injured and three of them need "medical care," the company spokeswoman Thérèse Fagertstet told the French press.

45,563 units of the Glavarp mbades have been sold worldwide since January 2017 – priced at 249 euros each (199 euros for the smallest model), announced the company. Owners of Glivepar tables are welcome to bring them back to the stores for compensation.
