During the Drone Week in Amsterdam, Audi, Airbus and Italdesign presented their joint project Pop.Up Next. The innovation consists of an autonomous electric car, a dron and a pbadenger module.
The demonstration prototype is small-scale – on a scale of 1: 4, but Audi says these vehicles will be in service in the next decade and will benefit everyone.
Flying taxis will be used to travel to major cities and will be a much more efficient alternative to current taxis. Their advantage lies in the intelligent planning of a route that involves traveling on the streets of the city and in the air.
The toll car is designed for two people, as needed, attached to an electric car or a dron. Modules can independently go to charging stations when electricity goes down.
