"I ask the court to dismiss the verdict in the first instance and grant me an acquittal before returning my parents and my family." That's what Ilian Rangelov told plovdiv appeal judges today, who killed Milena's fiancé at the end of 2016 in the village of Kurtovo Konare.

Milena's body, 26 years old was discovered around midnight on December 29, 2016, a few meters from the house where he lived with Ilian, in the village of Kurtovo Konare in Plovdiv. They got engaged at Christmas and planned a wedding, but the young man was painfully jealous.
In the fatal evening between Milena and Ilian, the last big scandal broke out. A few minutes before going to work, the desperate and troubled woman told Ilian: "We are dividing!" and left for a night shift.
Then the young man grabbed a knife, grabbed Milena in the street and suddenly in the heart he killed her instead. Then the murderer came back and went to bed. So when Milena's colleagues went looking for him, he went out pretending to have woken up.
After 24 hours of continuous investigation by the investigation, including the supervision of prosecutors, investigators, forensic scientists and psychologists, Ilian Rangelov was arrested.
