Parliament decided that the mediator should not be entitled to specialized transport from the National Guard Service (NSA). This was done by voting on a text of the transitional and final provisions of the finance law for 2019, reported the BTA news agency.

BSP and MRF opposed this decision. The MRF suggested that the mediator remain in the circle of people using the means of transport of NGOs, but this was rejected by the majority. The BSP also demanded that the mayor of Sofia not have the right to transport the NGO, but this was not accepted by the government.

On the left, they called for the law not to be changed solely for the sake of the human being.

"The institution of the ombudsman has recently been imposed as a serious institution in Bulgaria," said Georgi Gikov.

"I do not think that the most popular person of the state, the man loved by the repressed people, should be protected," said Menda Stoyanova, of GERB. According to her, the ombudsman Maya Manolova does not need to get on a train or traveling because the institution's budget is subject to funds for ongoing maintenance.

"There is also a driver, a car, and if there is none, I think that one of the broken down vehicles of the National Assembly can be provided after repair",

comments Stoyanova.

"Mrs. Stoyanova, your answer was a bit mischievous, you must be jealous," Gyokov replied. He added that a large portion of the funds intended for the ombudsman was intended for renting the institution building.

"Maya Manolova is a man who does his job very, very well and not by chance, such approval," said BSP's Dragomir Stoynev. "Unlike previous mediators, Manolova does not sit in his office to accept people, but travels constantly around the country," he said.

Stoynev asked if this measure had been taken for political reasons. "Is there another reason, perhaps for future elections, and you try in this artificial way, showing the strength of the state budget law to try to restrict the rights," commented Stoynev.

"I was expecting such a fierce but not so fierce defense",

said Toma Bikov from GERB. "I had the impression that it was an appointment for a new leader of the BSP group.Ms Ninova is absent and you start a bading scary shot," he said. he commented. "I did not hear Mrs. Manolova threatened, we keep it mostly as a written egg," he said. According to him, if Manolova became the head of the BSP, there would be an active opposition, constructive and strong.

According to Georgi Svilensky of the BSP, the government is removing the use of the NPO by the ombudsman, who is afraid of the rating of Maia Manolova. "What will you do in September,

if Mrs Manolova becomes mayor of Sofia? Will we still change the budget then? ",

he asked. "I propose to deprive her of all means of transport throughout her political career," he said.
