I get up and grab the phone to quickly read what happened in the world while I was offline. I arrive at the office at the time when the morning television blocks are coming to an end and my computer, with the kind badistance of the Internet, tells me that it does not happen. There is no new shock and I can focus safely on my work. And at this point, I think I have not seen television for a long time. Last year 's statistics show that television takes 164 minutes a day and per person, and the internet has almost caught up to 157 minutes a day. To date, the time spent on television is probably lower. That's why the question: "Why, for the sake of God, people come out of the TV screen on a voluntary basis?" he's not so crazy. Deyan Veselinov and his wife Reneta Veselinova are people who are familiar with the fast pace of television and who are used to it. They both know how to "catch the throat" with a story, but they can easily make fun of your stories. And why they chose to grow on the Internet, not to mention tell them.
"Deyan was a promising talent in basketball and Reni was a runner, why did you go into journalism?
Reni: For me, the ride has always been an escape. Noise, thoughts, malice. I admit that I did not intend to turn this hobby professionally. Some things are good to stay as they are. As for journalism, I knew in my school years that I wanted to do that. I had an excellent Bulgarian language teacher – Georgi Angelov, who naturally managed to teach us (at least to me) that the story depends largely on the narrator and that the power of telling stories is really great. Touching people with your words as if you feel the world has something magical about it.
Deyan: I say very honestly – I was not good enough! There may have been something in me, but I could not develop it enough after I was 15-16 years old. Sport was the big dream. Everything started from that. Basketball has taught me a lot and has given me the basics. I speak in a life plan purely. This has created a large part of my social circle to date. But he also gave me valuable life lessons that any man who has worked in a team can appreciate. If not, even if I had basketball a career, I would look again for a development in the media sphere. At age 32-33 at the end of the athlete's active life, it's time to think about the second career. And so, instead of thinking now at the beginning, I already have 12 to 13 years of practical experience, lol. Fate knows the job.
– Your career has made most colleagues dream. As the main journalists of Nova TV, you met the most influential personalities of Bulgaria. What prompted you to change domain and turn to the stories of the average person?
Reni: I think that many people are afraid to change the terrain more than I think is reasonable. I do not like stagnation, I do not feel well in a clearly marked path with constant direction. I will always be grateful to my TV colleagues for all the meetings, lessons and experiences, but the time has come for new ones. Especially in the world where we live when everything happens first on the Internet. I think the digital world definitely reveals more opportunities than television and I love this freedom. Regarding the stories of the average person we choose to tell, I come back to the central issue of journalism. In no way do I deny the flow of information and the importance of news. But personally, I do not want to live in a world so dependent on the price of electricity, political resignations, thefts, etc. Problems of this nature are happening all over the world and I am interested in other "news". In Bulgaria (and beyond), there are too many people and interesting fates that do not reach the small screen. There are countless stories that can teach us extremely important and sadly forgotten values. So with Deyan, we created the project "EDITED STORIES" – telling the characters for whom there is no time or space. And if even a person managed to take something from our stories for his soul, then we did our job. Because the world is not just money or their lack, it's not just power and supremacy, it's not just business. At least I believe it. In a movie, Johnny Depp says, "The world is the same and there are fewer left." This "less" excites me and I want to talk to him about it.
Deyan: You know. I've always thought that a person starts thinking about highs and measuring his accomplishments has completed the course in general. Otherwise, I understand that for a lot of "give you on TV", it's like a replica of student TV "that makes you famous" and it's an amazing feat that you can not change to will. Well, despite this logic and silly audition, dressed in highly dubious publications, Reni and we did exactly that. And that seems logical. We left New TV at a time when we found the two most suitable. Of course, with gratitude and respect for the team and the leaders, which was not a problem. The truth is, however, that for years the Internet environment has attracted us much more than the idea of being a full-time TV employee. We speak of a different freedom. Different market. Different scales of thought. And above all: the opportunity to test our strengths, opportunities and ideas. In the end, we also had the chance to meet fans. I remember having similar ideas and opportunities around 2013., but I'm glad we did it now because it's important to be ready when you take a big step. It's this spring that we've come our way with the Dir.bg team and, of course, the change has taken place. When the biggest Bulgarian Internet portal, where your first life on the Internet is connected twenty years ago, gives you a hand and embraces your ideas about video content, the decision becomes much easier. Our role is to make the Dir – a public even more choice. We have already launched the series "EDITED STORIES". We are also preparing several other projects for which we do not need to advertise. But there will be both music and sports, et cetera. We really want to reach young people, who are watching more and more television. But age is not essential. The goal is to give the public the Bulgarian video content of an author on the Internet … Whoever is interested – will look who it is not – the choice of TV channels is big enough; )
– Who is the interview you dream of?
Reni: Now, if I tell you Johnny Depp, I will not be surprised, are you? 🙂 John Meyer is also on me. We also plan to launch a musical series at Dir.bg, where our talented musicians will be able to express themselves in a very pleasant and comfortable atmosphere. So, if John Mayer reads Dir – he knows I'm waiting for him;)
Deyan: Ray Charles is my musical idol. But here the dream is impossible, why? Otherwise, I would have talked to a lot of people, even if some of those I found inspiring have already met. I did not dream a long time ago. Especially for interviews. Planning And the impossible plans reduce them to the minimum so that my imagination remains awake and in condition.
– Are these the most difficult interviews you will get?
Reni: Oh, those interviews I dream of do not see them as difficult. Rather exalted nice, lol.
Deyan: The most difficult thing is to do a quality interview on a subject that does not interest you personally. That 's why I learned to carefully select the projects I would like to start with. To sift through those I like, but I only want to be a spectator because I have nothing to help them. And, of course, quickly and without much reasoning deny those who are far from my soul.
– What is the story that inspired you personally?
Reni: I can not say that it's just a story. I took a grandmother who lives alone in a whole village. It is difficult to explain the dimension of loneliness. I also had a family that coexisted in old golf 2. Imagine a family of 4 trying to survive in a car in the middle of winter – snow, wind, a terrible situation. We managed to find them at home and at work. And the gratitude in their eyes can never forget. Here is a typical example of a "followed" story. As one of our characters says in "Screening" – a matter of personal choice is what you will see with the eyes you have. The same goes for the stories you will tell as a journalist.
Deyan: Recently, I am inspired by the stories of people who live happily and at peace with themselves. Of course, it looks like a snapshot of the Grade 5 diary, but I can feel it. We are in a hurry all. We make plans and we always want more and more. Abe, in short – "we are pursuing Mihal" rather than stopping for a moment and thinking about what makes us really happy. According to my impressions, we must examine ourselves more closely to find this answer and not to make an important evaluation of ours.
– We are talking about foreign stories, but what is your personal story?
Reni: Our story is quite simple: a distracted dreamer and an extremely nice nerve. I do not know if we would show something unfamiliar to the public because our lives are completely normal. We do our work, we love and have fun. But the idea of edited stories is not found in unpublished and unheard-of stories, but in the conclusion. We do not want to give direction to stories, but simply tell them how we feel about them. And as a spectator, you can finally judge for yourself if this story has something to give you and what you will do for yourself.
– Where did you meet life, when and how did your love burn?
Reni: It turns out that with Deyan, we grew up in the same neighborhood, but it's an absolute fact that we met on TV. And love has arrived naturally and categorically. I saw him, I smiled and everything was over.
Deyan: The work brought us together, although it could have happened much earlier. We grew up in the same neighborhood. Our parents' homes are minutes away. Yet we met years later in a working atmosphere when we were no longer children. Fate knows the job.
– Who took the first step?
Reni: Honestly, I have no idea. We both took the first steps towards each other, then our relationships brought us one way or another on a common path.
Deyan: I. (laughs) And I do not remember everything in detail, but as far as I know, I'm probably the first to get stuck … But the truth is that we did not take long to feel and that things went naturally. . A few months later, we lived together. And over the next two years, we first married and married.
"Do you remember your matrimonial oaths?" What did you promise yourself?
Reni: Of course I remember it! But for me, the wedding vow is very intimate and personal and should stay between two people. Let's say we promised to love each other, to accept each other and to care for one another.
Deyan: I remember it perfectly. I can repeat mine and now. And she remembers it. We had a great wedding.
– What do you like and what is not in the other?
Reni: Everything I love in it For me, it's a whole world that I can rediscover every day. Of course, everyone has flaws, but I strongly oppose the idea that people should change when they are in a relationship. I liked it because of my inconvenience and I have no desire to change it. The moment you want to change the person for you, just at that moment, he is different from the person you fell in love with. Why then this change?
Deyan: I love everything there is in it. Honestly Even things that I should not like are my favorites. They give a complement and a balance of the characters.
– If I were Renny / Deyan for a day, would I?
Reni: If I had been Deyan in a day, I would have been a terrible man. Deyan is a person who experiments everything. Extremely critical is foremost for himself, but also for the world. And if I have the opportunity to put myself in its place for the day, this day will surely be very carefree.
Deyan: I was going to make some beautiful whites to have something to extort from him that she had emptied into her body. Selfish until the end! haha
– How do you have fun at work and out?
Reni: Our job is such that there is not much left to do. The world moves 24 hours a day, the information too. But we are both aware of what we are doing and it gives us great pleasure. That's why we have fun with ease, just because we like it. In addition, we have wonderful friends that we can always count on.
Deyan: We are absolute "bored"! Music, movies, sports, books … We rarely go to bars, but with our closest friends, we try to dine at least once or twice a month.
– How do you manage to cooperate with life together? Does it stop you or help you stay together from morning to night?
Reni: Certainly not boring! Having the opportunity to do what you love with the person you love is one in a million. We have a lot to learn from each other to make us boring. In addition, it would have been difficult for me to explain that my job is to work when it happens – morning, evening, Tuesday, Saturday – whatever. When your partner knows this rhythm, understanding is much easier. And every story we go into is totally different from the previous one. You are entering a whole new world and there is no reason to hit you.
Deyan: Living with someone and working with it happens in many couples and there is hardly any valid recipe for everyone. With us, things go pretty naturally. In both cases, we have common tasks – professional and personal. I do not see it as difficult to act with such success.
"What would you change in your life if you could go back in time?"
Reni: I love my life now. And I believe it is, thanks to all that has happened to me so far. So, I would not change anything in the past. I rather like that one gives me more time. Time, for one reason or another, I could not be enough with my loved ones.
Deyan: I've probably made a lot of mistakes. But most likely will not solve the problem. No ego but scared. When you arrive at the same place, it becomes the butterfly effect. And people naively think that if we have made a different decision in our lives, it's necessarily a good thing. I love my wife, my family, I love my job and I have enough loyal people around me. I'm just going to ruin something.
– What song and what movie would you like your life up to now?
Reni: Imagine a concert by John Meyer, Dennis Lloyd and Erika Badou at the same time. At the same time, you play a movie with Johnny Depp, Marlon Brando and Meryl Streep. Here I am!
Deyan: Something very "fat" will be (laughs). Only the one who knows me will think about what I mean … But when we move the cinema and the music, we meet Hugh Lory and Jamie Fox. Together, they will adjust the song and the movie. Ok, we are not pretentious, is not it ?! (laughs ironically)
