AMD Ryzen 7 2700E Energy-efficient Processor Surfaces

It seems that AMD is preparing to launch a low-power processor as part of its series of Ryzen processors. The AMD Ryzen 7 2700E has surfaced online recently and it seems to have a TDP of just 45 Watts. TDP or thermal design point can best be described as the maximum amount of heat generated by a computer chip that the computer's cooling system is designed to dissipate under workload of any kind.

The reduced TDP suggests that the AMD Ryzen 7 The 2700E may have a lower base clock and lowered turbos. However, this is to be expected if you are looking for more energy efficiency from a processor.

This recent leak is not the first time this processor has surfaced. The ASRock CPU compatibility chart for recent motherboards also listed the Ryzen 7 2700E SKU in addition to the Ryzen 5 2600E and the Ryzen 3 2300X

If specs are badumed, the Ryzen 7 2700E will have a clock basic 2.8 GHz and a TDP of 45 Watts with a 4 MB L cache. The result of the 3DMark system information also shows that they Ryzen 7 2700E is certainly a hyperthreading processor 8 core SMT – enabled with a basic clock frequency of 2.8 GHz.

AMD has not yet confirmed this SKU officially, but it is just as likely that this chip will simply come out in an OEM product in the not too distant future.
