The real estate business of Pontegadea Inmobiliaria, part of the Inditex holding, acquired two office buildings in Seattle this week. In them, the renter is the world's leading Amazon online marketer. This is confirmed by the spokesperson of the company, quoted by Euronews.
Under the hat of Inditex, Zara is one of the largest companies in the fashion industry. Spaniard Ammancio Ortega, founder and owner of the giant, is the second richest person in Europe.
Pontegadea Inmobiliaria has signed an agreement with US investment fund USAA Real Estate, the largest agreement reached by the Spanish company in the United States.
The buildings were sold for a total of $ 740 million, according to the Seattle Times. The European Fund refuses to specify a specific amount for the transaction.
It is worth noting that Ammancio Ortega, who owns 59.29% of Inditex's stock, does not only own brands like Zara and Mbadimo Dutti.
Purchased business premises are also divested to Inditex's competitors, such as the Swedish H & M and American Gap.
