Day One of the CS: GO First ELEAGUE ends between Astralis, Cloud9, MIBR, and Team Liquid.
Astralis looks like the best Counter Strike Team in the world. Their combination of great teamwork and amazing individual skills terrifies the rest of the pack. However, they come out of a disappointing finish at ESL One Cologne. They aim to prove, once again, that they are the best team in the world. They are also looking to avenge their loss at ESL One with an ELEAGUE Premier Championship.
On the other hand, Cloud9 looks like a whole new team. The team lost two of its longtime members, Jacky "Stewie2k" Yip, and more recently the leader of the game Tarik "tarik" Celik. They chose to keep their current stand-in Martin "STYKO" Styk for this event. In addition, Cloud9 was able to acquire the former Fnatic game leader, Maikil "Golden" Selim, as the fifth player. It will be difficult for them to find a synergy, especially since it will be the first time that Golden will be in English. They only got Golden for a week before Prime Minister ELEAGUE.
Speaking of new lines, Made in Brazil also comes to Prime Minister ELEAGUE with a new player. The former Cloud9 leader, Tarik, recently joined the team. MIBR has had a disappointing performance at ESL One Cologne and has not been as successful since the transition from the G2 Esports brand team to MIBR. However, Tarik and Stewie2k will have a great synergy of their time in Cloud9.
Finally, Team Liquid also had a poor performance at ESL One Cologne. They seek to have a performance opposite to their games in Germany. Team Liquid has focused on discipline and fundamentals, which is comparable to the European Astralis. They also have great synergy between their members when compared to their opposition, MIBR
Astralis Vs. Cloud9
A pretty convincing first match for Astralis against the new look of Cloud9. However, at first, Cloud9 was able to make it a game.
Autimatic, Skadoodle and RUSH make some great shots in the first half of Inferno, and GOLDEN's leadership seems to affect the team. a good way. . However, Astralis seemed calm and collected the two whole cards. Their team synergy, as well as their precise and disciplined playing style, was too much for Cloud9. Astralis Nicolai's AWPer "dev1ce" Reedtz had an impact throughout the match, hitting shots on goal. He would finish the match with the most wins on his team and in the game.
The same story is written on the overpbad. Astralis looked super clean and showed his muscle all match, crushing Cloud9 every turn of the game.
Looks like Cloud9 has a lot of work, but for a team who MIBR vs. Team Liquid
The Liquid team seemed pretty dominant against MIBR today.
Made in Brazil gameplay was clear: plays fast and furiously and imbalances the North American team. As expected, hyper-aggressive Brazilians kept Team Liquid on their heels. However, once Team Liquid can find its place, the MIBR will weaken. It is clear that the MIBR still lacks teamwork and coordination. Liquid, even in tense and disordered situations, is able to remain calm and determined throughout the games.
Team Liquid would take Inferno 16-8, and Cache 16-9.
The Next Matchups
A big story managed to form in the group ELEAGUE losers group A. MIBR and Cloud9 meet in the lower bracket, which poses a grudge match between former teammates. RUSH, Autimatic and Skadoodle seek to prove that even with Stewie2k and Tarik gone, they are still a force to be reckoned with. MIBR seeks to redeem itself, especially against the former team of Tarik and Stewie2k. Look for an exciting match between Stewie2k and star player Autimatic to fight for control in their group match.
