AUDI prepares a numerical answer to a question no one has asked

The German brand unveiled its latest hi-tech gadget – the "virtual exterior mirrors", which simply translates as a digital mirror. -up will appear on the Audi e-tron electric SUV. The green family car will be the first vehicle in the world to feature digital mirrors when it goes into production in 2020.

The Audi replaces traditional side mirrors with a set of small cameras, one on each side of the vehicle. The cameras then project the previously viewed image via the mirrors on the corner of the door stuck in a prism between the window, the door handle and the dashboard.

Viewed through a 7.0-inch OLED screen, the picture can be changed the situation with three parameters: driving on freeway, turn and parking.
