[ad_1]

Innocent relics have been preserved for centuries by the monks of the Bachkovo Monastery, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin. Among the masterpieces of jewelery is a souvenir shop, a miniaturized copy of St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice. The treasures are kept in the monastery museum and can be seen by the visitors.

The Bachkovo Monastery Museum was established in the 1930s and presents a liturgical dish, ancient icons and church clothes. Some pieces are made by monks, others by qualified masters.

Some of the 500 precious samples are displayed in two new rooms of the museum. The central location is reserved for the cash register, which is subject to special security measures.

"Only two of them have kept such talents in Bulgaria, one is here with us, the other is at the National Museum of History. vase in which is held a sacrament, which is kept for special occasions. It is silver, with gilding, enamels, watermarks, stones, jasper, pearls, coral " , recalls BNR Stamen Pepelishev – curator of the museum of the Bachkovo Monastery.

However, nothing indicates where the valuable price has been paid.

Among the masterpieces of the museum are carved crucifixes, close to the cross of Rafael. Part of the exhibits, among which a pot of precious metals, were created in the seventeenth century in the famous studios of Asenovgrad.

The museum's collection also houses icons, of which Saint Mercure is rarely represented.
