The investment project to ensure the airworthiness of the MiG-29 aircraft is directly related to the implementation of the task of maintaining air traffic control in the NATO Integrated Air Navigation System. The government also approved additional costs for the budget of the Ministry of Defense for 2018, an amount of BGN 45 739 959, related to the conclusion of contracts for the airworthiness of aircraft MiG-29 under the umbrella of 39, a framework agreement with the AO "RSK" MiG. The funds are secured to the detriment of the 2018 Central Expenditure Restructuring.

An investment project "Airworthiness Restoration of the aircraft Su-25" has been approved. The funds needed to carry out the project amount to 99 012 000 BGN with VAT (82 510 000 BGN HT).
