"The budget is a forecast that is good for me next year, and I am optimistic that the budget will be met because our society will be more prosperous and richer next year." This is what Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov said after the adoption of the final budget for the following year.
The debates on the 2019 budget lasted more than 15 hours.
Goranov explained that the opposition had different views on the proper allocation of funds and added: "The executive has the perimeter reserved to determine, by means of its budgetary expenditures, its political opinion."
