He turned to the authorities in Ecuador to ask him to obtain political asylum. because of fears that the Swedish authorities may extradite him to the United States because of his activities around Wikileaks
At the end of March this year, Quito deprived Assange of a relationship with the outside world. According to the Ecuadorian authorities, his behavior and his communications in social networks endanger the good relations of the country with the United Kingdom, the EU and other countries of the world
In May, Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno also ordered that all additional security measures in the embbady, where Assange is hiding, be withdrawn.
