The new Spanish national coach, Luis Enrique, will try to convince Gerard Pique not to end his career in the national team.
Already before the 2018 World Cup, Pique announced that he would finish his career in the national team of Spain despite the final result of La Furia Roca at the World Cup in Russia.
Defender has not officially announced his final decision and Enrique hopes that he will persuade him to continue playing at least until the European Championship in 2020.
Pique a won the world title with Spain in 2010 and the European title in 2012.
The defender has withdrawn from the national team of Spain after 102 matches in which he scored 5 goals. With La Furia Roca, he won 73 wins, 15 draws and 14 defeats
Piquet made his debut for Spain on February 11, 2009 in Sevilla in a match against England under Vicente del Bosque. 9 years, 4 months and 29 days later, he ended his career in the national team
