First gasoline-powered diesel car – Automotive News

At the Los Angeles Auto Show, the premiere of the new generation Mazda3 has taken place. It is the first model in the world to be equipped with the SkyActiv-X gasoline engine with the combustion of fuel mixture by compression as in diesel.

The Troika is based on a Skyactiv Body power architecture with clutches that increase the tensile strength and create deformable areas that absorb energy in the form of shock and extinguish vibrations. The front suspension is made by McFersony, and the back is designed by the zero torso shaft.

To reduce acoustic and vibratory loads, the vertical travel of the wheels is optimized and an additional noise-absorbing layer is provided in the floor insulation. In the floor structure, a "double wall" technology is used, in which a free space, complete with a fibrous material, remains between the sheet and the inner liner.

The engines of the new Mazda3 are petrol engines of the current Skyactiv-G family, with 1.5-liter, 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engines, as well as Skyactiv-D diesel from 1 , 8 liter. The true technological badet of the range, however, is the ultra-economical 2.0-liter Skyactiv-X with mechanical compressor and SPCCI (Controlled Controlled Ignition) technology.

The exact characteristics of the engine are not yet reported. The gearboxes are six-speed gears and automatic gearboxes with the same number of gears.

The new Mazda3 will be available with the i-Activ AWD system, available only in Japan. The transmission works in tandem with the G-Vectoring Control Plus system, which changes the torque input according to the steering wheel angle, speed and vehicle acceleration and controls the loads vertical on the wheels.

The equipment of the new "trio" includes an eight-speaker system that can be replaced at an additional cost by a Bose center speaker, two rear satellites and a subwoofer. The i-Activsense auxiliary system includes an infrared camera indicating the driver's condition and fatigue, a transverse traction tracking function and a cruising speed controller and Traffic Assistance (CTS).

Sales of the new Mazda3 start early next year.
