Fortnite Solo Showdown is back for the weekend

The Solo Showdown Limited Time Fortnite mode comes to life, giving players the opportunity to compete for bragging rights, V-Bucks and, if you're good enough, an invitation to upcoming Summer Skirmish events.

The basic rules of Fortnite do not change in a solo confrontation. Instead, it's a ladder ranked against other "self-selected competitors", with points awarded based on placement: 100 points for a Royal Victory, up to 25 points for come between 76-100. Points will be awarded for the first 25 games of Showdown Solo played, and when that is over, the top 100 in each region will win V-Bucks.

  • 1st place: 50,000 V-Bucks
  • 2nd – 4th place: 25,000 V-Bucks
  • 5th – 50th Place: 13,500 V-Bucks
  • 51st – 100th Place: 7,500 V-Bucks

Epic said that "the best eligible players in the Solo Showdown could also receive invitations to future summer skirmish events", these being part of the $ 8 million professional tournament series that started a little earlier this month. Epic did not go into detail about this

To take part in the action, just start playing Solo Showdown matches in your area. The MTL will be live until 7 am Pacific morning / 10 am on July 30th.
